It was a rainy day, but it did not get us down. Our team got to choose between going back to LifeNet Church or going to another different church this morning. I went with the smaller group to Raymond Shepherd Nazarene Church which is tied to the school that part of the team is teaching at. We loved the worship with familiar songs to unfamiliar tunes. The sermon was on 1 Samuel 16 and encouraged us to keep our hearts open for God to mold and use us to accomplish His work as one body of Christ. The church was like one big family--celebrating birthdays, choral reading scripture, and even inviting us visitors forward to introduce ourselves. God has definitely taught me more about His omnipresence. It's such a neat feeling to know we get to praise the same God in Belize that our families are praising in all different ways throughout the rest of the world.
After church, we enjoyed a refreshing walk in a downpour to the gas station to wait on the rest of our team to pick us up. The team joined back up and spent some time at the compound preparing for our last week of teaching. For dinner, we got to go out to Pasquale's Pizza. We're definitely well-nourished for another week of pouring into students and prayerfully leaving behind what our students need most.
Sounds like a wonderful day, even though it was wet! Interesting and inspiring observations about church and our AWESOME one true God❣️. Praying for many blessings on you all and your students and teachers for this last week together. May you all be the hands, feet, voice, and heart of Jesus as you make another week of memories! 🙏🏻❤️
