Day 10 (1.13.24): Zipping Into the Weekend!

Writer's picture: Hannah McIntyreHannah McIntyre

Hey! It's Zoe here. Today we slept in and began our day with french toast and bacon. Then, we all piled onto the bus and headed to our zip line adventure with our favorite guide, Albert. Some of us were scared, but we pushed through and all successfully survived six zip lines, including the "chicken line." The views were incredible, and some of us even attempted to go upside down on line number three and six! After the thrill seek and adrenaline rush, we all took some naps on the bus and returned to the compound. We enjoyed hot dogs and a variety of chips. One of us, I won't say who, even consumed four hot dogs! Plans changed, as they often do, and we had a free day to play ultimate frisbee, take naps, buy snacks, lesson plan, hammock, and take photos. Lodge 3 and 4 collaborated together to build a pyramid in their doorway! Others explored the surrounding neighborhood and visited our students along the way. For dinner, we successfully consumed a huge pot of spaghetti, salad, and rolls. We ended the day by sharing our "sunshines, clouds, and buffalos." After testimony sharing, worship, and affirmations, we played a big game of "Signs!" It was an exciting, yet relaxing day to say the least. :) Zip lining Out.
